Sun Tzu If you would believe the evening news, the world is simply an innocuous place inhabited by a few misguided malcontents and the greatest threat to your life is an element that makes up most of your body. Therefore, you need not worry about anything other than curbing your greenhouse emissions, appeasing the ecology, and, perhaps, weathering another “man-made disaster” or “global contingency”. There would be no need to consider the fact that Islamic terrorists have consistently attacked Western cultures without provocation; no need to identify with the realization that all terrorists hell-bent on America’s destruction are Muslim; and no need to consider that if you do not do “something” then no one else will. As the global media suggests, the greatest threat to humankind is simply the destruction of the environment. Such political-correctness, however, is the bedfellow of self-destruction. It permits the continual attack against our nation and civilized society and fosters suicide not of the radical terrorists, but of our nation, our liberties, and our future. To survive within this maddening world of ours, one must fight – and fight to win.

Those who believe that the fundamental human action is to flock towards one another during crises with compassionate arms are a very short-lived breed. The truth is, quite to the contrary, that even the most “civilized” person will turn to barbarism if pushed to an extreme. Sadly, these extremes are nearly indecipherable to the uninitiated. It could represent the loss of a job, a loved one, or a nation. Will your enemy therefore arise from the ranks of the radical? Or merely the misguided? What are you willing to sacrifice if your estimations are incorrect? Unless you have a death wish, you need to surround yourself with people who are as determined and as fierce as those who want to turn you and your family into “pink mist” and you’re not going to find them within the venerable halls of some Western intelligence agency. Survival means that your intelligence people have been reared in the ‘natural’ environment, not Ivy-league universities. They must hone the same primitive instincts of your adversary. Most importantly, however, they cannot fear to “offend” while on the offensive. Actionable intelligence means being tactical in nature and being tactical requires discipline, innovation, resiliency, and devotion. You cannot permit semantics, political correctness, or apathy to blockade either your success…or you survival.
